Our main character is a College student who has severe depression for a long time. However, he is a very composured individual and poised in stressful and crucial situations. When he was young, he was exposed to explicit content such as paranormal activities and murders, as well as intense, claustrophobic  high-pressure, and life threatening situations seen in films or videos online.

Depression is a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act. Fortunately, it is also treatable. Depression causes feelings of sadness and/or a loss of interest in activities you once enjoyed. It can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems and can decrease your ability to function at work and at home.

The ability to stay calm refers to an individual's capacity to remain composed, collected, and unflustered in the face of challenging or stressful situations. It involves maintaining emotional balance, controlling reactions, and making rational decisions even when confronted with pressure, uncertainty, or adversity. People with a strong ability to stay calm are often better equipped to handle stress, think clearly, and navigate difficult circumstances with a sense of poise and resilience.

The silver lining of the college student being a depressed student is that he has the poise to handle high-stakes situations, so it is interesting and memorable for the audience to keep guessing how the student can escape the haunted house in a limited amount of time after the cliffhanger.

The opening sequence also explores the concept of depression, and how it can make students put in the extra work and sacrifice their l health to achieve desired grades and academic performace to brighten up their future, as you can see in the sequence, the students requires extra classes late in the night to catch up with his studies, which is very exhausting mentally and physically. However, with a clear plan/routine, attempting to socialise a bit everyday to those who have common interests, and putting your health before anything else and taking care of your body, we can slowly prevent depression and become a more energetic, likable and happier person.
